1.  ¾ß°öÀÌ ±æÀ» °¡´Âµ¥ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ »çÀÚµéÀÌ ±×¸¦ ¸¸³­Áö¶ó
     Jacob also went on his way, and the angels of God  met him.
2.  ¾ß°öÀÌ ±×µéÀ» º¼ ¶§¿¡ À̸£±â¸¦ ÀÌ´Â Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ±º´ë¶ó ÇÏ°í ±× ¶¥ À̸§À» ¸¶ÇϳªÀÓÀ̶ó ÇÏ¿´´õ¶ó
     When Jacob saw them, he said,  "This si the camp of God!"  So he named that Place Mahanaim.
3.   ¾ß°öÀÌ ¼¼ÀÏ ¶¥ ¿¡µ¼ µé¿¡ ÀÖ´Â Çü ¿¡¼­¿¡°Ô·Î Àڱ⺸´Ù ¾Õ¼­ »çÀÚµéÀ» º¸³»¸ç
     Jacob sent messengers ahead of him to his brother Esau in the land of Seir, the country of Edom.
4.  ±×µé¿¡°Ô ¸í·ÉÇÏ¿© À̸£µÇ ³ÊÈñ´Â ³» ÁÖ ¿¡¼­¿¡°Ô ÀÌ°°ÀÌ ¸»Ç϶ó ÁÖÀÇ Á¾ ¾ß°öÀÌ ÀÌ°°ÀÌ ¸ÖÇϱ⸦ ³»°¡ ¶ó¹Ý°ú ÇÔ²² °Å·ùÇϸç Áö±Ý±îÁö ¸Ó¹°·¯ ÀÖ¾ú»ç¿À¸ç
     He instructed them:  "This is what your are to say to my master Esau:  'Your servant Jacob says,  I have been staying with Laban and have remained there till now.
5.  ³»°Ô ¼Ò¿Í ³ª±Í¿Í ¾ç ¶¼¿Í ³ëºñ°¡ ÀÖÀ¸¹Ç·Î »ç¶÷À» º¸³»¾î ³» ÁÖ²² ¾Ë¸®°í ³» ÁÖ²² ÀºÇý ¹Þ±â¸¦ ¿øÇϳªÀÌ´Ù Ç϶ó ÇÏ¿´´õ´Ï
     I have cattle and donkeys, sheep and goats, menservants and maidservants.  Now I am sending this message to my lord, that I may find favor in your eyes.' "
6.  »çÀÚµéÀÌ ¾ß°ö¿¡°Ô µ¹¾Æ¿Í À̸£µÇ ¿ì¸®°¡ ÁÖÀÎÀÇ Çü ¿¡¼­¿¡°Ô À̸¥Áï ±×°¡ »ç¹é ¸íÀ» °Å´À¸®°í ÁÖÀÎÀ» ¸¸³ª·Á°í ¿À´õÀÌ´Ù
     When the messengers returned to Jacob, they said, " We went to your brother Esau, and now he is coming to meet you, and four hundred men are with him."
7.  ¾ß°öÀÌ ½ÉÈ÷ µÎ·Æ°í ´ä´äÇÏ¿© ÀÚ±â¿Í ÇÔ²² ÇÑ µ¿ÇàÀÚ¿Í ¾ç°ú ¼Ò¿Í ³«Å¸¸¦ µÎ ¶¼·Î ³ª´©°í
     In great fear and distress Jacob divided the people who were with him into two groups, and the flocks and herds and camels as well.
8.  À̸£µÇ ¿¡¼­°¡ ¿Í¼­ ÇÑ ¶¼¸¦ Ä¡¸é ³²Àº ÇÑ ¶¼´Â ÇÇÇϸ®¶ó ÇÏ°í
     He thought,  " If Esau comes and attacks one group, the group that is left may escape."
9.  ¾ß°öÀÌ ¶Ç À̸£µÇ ³» Á¶ºÎ ¾Æºê¶óÇÔÀÇ Çϳª´Ô, ³» ¾Æ¹öÁö ÀÌ»èÀÇ Çϳª´Ô ¿©È£¿Í¿© ÁÖ²²¼­ Àü¿¡ ³»°Ô ¸íÇϽñ⸦ ³× °íÇâ,³× Á·¼Ó¿¡°Ô·Î µ¹¾Æ°¡¶ó ³»°¡ ³×°Ô ÀºÇý¸¦ º£Ç®¸®¶ó Çϼ̳ªÀÌ´Ù
     Then Jacob prayed,  "O God of my father Abraham, God of my father Isaac, O LORD, who said to me, 'Go back to your country and your relatives, and I will make you prosper,'
10.  ³ª´Â ÁÖ²²¼­ ÁÖÀÇ Á¾¿¡°Ô º£Çª½Å ¸ðµç ÀºÃÑ°ú ¸ðµç Áø½ÇÇϽÉÀ» Á¶±Ýµµ °¨´çÇÒ ¼ö ¾ø»ç¿À³ª ³»°¡ ³» ÁöÆÎÀ̸¸ °¡Áö°í ÀÌ ¿ä´ÜÀ» °Ç³Ô´õ´Ï Áö±ÝÀº µÎ ¶¼³ª ÀÌ·ç¾ú³ªÀÌ´Ù
     I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown your servant. I had only my staff when I crossed this Jordan, but now I have become two groups.
11.  ³»°¡ ÁÖ²² °£±¸ÇÏ¿À´Ï ³» ÇüÀÇ ¼Õ¿¡¼­, ¿¡¼­ÀÇ ¼Õ¿¡¼­ ³ª¸¦ °ÇÁ®³»½Ã¿É¼Ò¼­ ³»°¡ ±×¸¦ µÎ·Á¿öÇÔÀº ±×°¡ ¿Í¼­ ³ª¿Í ³» óÀÚµéÀ» Ä¥±î °ÌÀÌ ³ª±â ¶§¹®ÀÌ´ÏÀÌ´Ù
     Save me, I pray, from the hand of my brother  Esau, for I am afraid he will come and attack me. and also the mothers with their children.
12.  ÁÖ²²¼­ ¸»¾¸ÇϽñ⸦ ³»°¡ ¹Ýµå½Ã ³×°Ô ÀºÇý¸¦ º£Ç®¾î ³× ¾¾·Î ¹Ù´ÙÀÇ ¼¿ ¼ö ¾ø´Â ¸ð·¡¿Í °°ÀÌ ¸¹°Ô Çϸ®¶ó Çϼ̳ªÀÌ´Ù
     But you have said, 'I will surely make you prosper and will make your descendants like the sand of the sea, which cannot be counted.' "
