"And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.
2. 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 원수들이 네게 대하여 말하기를 아하 옛적 높은 곳이 우리의 기업이 되었도다 하였느니라
Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the enemy said of you. 'Aha!' and, 'The ancient heights have become our possession,'
3. 그러므로 너는 예언하여 이르기를 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 그들이 너희를 황폐하게 하고 너희 사방을 삼켜 너희가 남은 이방인의 기업이 되게 하여 사람의 말거리와 백성의 비방거리가 되게 하였도다
therefore prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: Precisely because they made you desolate and crushed you from all sides, so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations, and you became the talk and evil gossip of the people,
4. 그러므로 이스라엘 산들아 주 여호와의 말씀을 들을지어다 산들과 멧부리들과 시내들과 골짜기들과 황폐한 사막들과 사방에 남아 있는 이방인의 노략거리와 조롱거리가 된 버린 성읍들에게 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라
therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains and the hills, the ravines and the valleys, the desolate wastes and the deserted cities, which have become a prey and derision to the rest of the nations all around,
5. 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 내가 진실로 내 맹렬한 질투로 남아 있는 이방인과 에돔 온 땅을 쳐서 말하였노니 이는 그들이 심히 즐거워하는 마음과 멸시하는 심령으로 내 땅을 빼앗아 노략하여 자기 소유를 삼았음이라
therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Surely I have spoken in my hot jealousy against the rest of the nations and against all Edom, who gave my land to themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and utter contempt, that they might make its pasturelands a prey.
6. 그러므로 너는 이스라엘 땅에 대하여 예언하되 그 산들과 멧부리들과 시내들과 골짜기들에 관하여 이르기를 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 내가 내 질투와 내 분노로 말하였나니 이는 너희가 이방의 수치를 당하였음이라
Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I have spoken in my jealous wrath, because you have suffered the reproach of the nations.
7. 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 내가 맹세하였은즉 너희 사방에 있는 이방인이 자신들의 수치를 반드시 당하리라
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: I swear that the nations that are all around you shall themselves suffer reproach.
8. 그러나 너희 이스라엘 산들아 너희는 가지를 내고 내 백성 이스라엘을 위하여 열매를 맺으리니 그들이 올 때가 가까이 이르렀음이라
"But you, O mountains of Israel, shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to my people Israel, for they will soon come home.
9. 내가 돌이켜 너희와 함께 하리니 사람이 너희를 갈고 심을 것이며
For behold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown.
10. 내가 또 사람을 너희 위에 많게 하리니 이들은 이스라엘 온 족속이라 그들을 성읍들에 거주하게 하며 빈 땅에 건축하게 하리라
And I will multiply people on you, the whole house of Israel, all of it. The cities shall be inhabited and the waste places rebuilt.
11. 내가 너희 위에 사람과 짐승을 많게 하되 그들의 수가 많고 번성하게 할 것이라 너희 전 지위대로 사람이 거주하게 하여 너희를 처음보다 낫게 대우하리니 내가 여호와인 줄을 너희가 알리라
And I will multiply on you man and beast, and they shall multiply and be fruitful. And I will cause you to be inhabited as in your former times, and will do more good to you than ever before. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
12. 내가 사람을 너희 위에 다니게 하리니 그들은 내 백성 이스라엘이라 그들은 너를 얻고 너는 그 기업이 되어 다시는 그들이 자식들을 잃어 버리지 않게 하리라
I will let people walk on you, even my people Israel. And they shall possess you, and you shall be their inheritance, and you shall no longer bereave them of children.
13. 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 그들이 너희에게 이르기를 너는 사람을 삼키는 자요 네 나라 백성을 제거한 자라 하거니와
Thus says the Lord GOD: Because they say to you, 'You devour people, and you bereave your nation of children,'
14. 네가 다시는 사람을 삼키지 아니하며 다시는 네 나라 백성을 제거하니 아니하리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
therefore you shall no longer devour people and no longer bereave your nation of children, declares the Lord GOD.
15. 내가 또 너를 여러 나라의 수치를 듣지 아니하게 하며 만민의 비방을 다시 받지 아니하게 하며 네 나라 백성을 다시 넘어뜨리지 아니하게 하리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라 하셨다 하라
And I will not let you hear anymore the reproach of the nations, and you shall no longer bear the disgrace of the peoples and no longer cause your nations to stumble, declares the Lord GOD."
16. 여호와의 말씀이 또 내게 임하여 이르시되
The word of the LORD came to me:
17. 인자야 이스라엘 족속이 그들의 고국 땅에 거주할 때에 그들의 행위로 그 땅을 더럽혔나니 나 보기에 그 행위가 월경 중에 있는 여인의 부정함과 같았느니라
"Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds. Their ways before me were like the uncleanness of a woman in her menstrual impurity.
18. 그들이 땅 위에 피를 쏟았으며 그 우상들로 말미암아 자신들을 더럽혔으므로 내가 분노를 그들 위에 쏟아
So I poured out my wrath upon them for the blood that they had shed in the land, for the idols with which they had defiled it.
19. 그들을 그 행위대로 심판하여 각국에 흩으며 여러 나라에 헤쳤더니
I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries. In accordance with their ways and their deeds I judged them.
20. 그들이 이른바 그 여러 나라에서 내 거룩한 이름이 그들로 말미암아 더러워졌나니 곧 사람들이 그들을 가리켜 이르기를 여호와의 백성이라도 여호와의 땅에서 떠난 자라 하였음이라
But when they came to the nations, wherever they came, they profaned my holy name, in that people said of them, 'These are the people of the LORD, and yet they had to go out of his land.'
21. 그러나 이스라엘 족속이 들어간 그 여러 나라에서 더럽힌 내 거룩한 이름을 내가 아꼈노라
But I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations to which they came.
