2.Listen! Listen to the roar of his voice, to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.
3.He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven
and sends it to the ends of the earth.
4.After that comes the sound of his roar,
he thunders with his majestic voice.
When his voice resounds,
he holds nothing back.
5.God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond
our understanding.
6.He says to the snow, 'Fall on the eath,'
and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.'
7.So that all men he has made may know his work,
he stops every man from his labor.
8.The animals take cover;
they remain in their dens.
9.The tempest comes out from its chamber,
the cold from the driving winds.
10.The breath of God produces ice,
and the broad waters become frozen.
11.He loads the clouds with moisture;
he scatters his lightning through them.
12.At his direction they swirl around over the face of the whole earth
to do whatever he commands them.
13.He brings the clouds to punish men,
or to water his earth and show his love.
14."Listen to this, Job;
stop and consider God's wonders.
15.Do you know how God control the clouds and makes his tightning flash?
16.Do you know how the clouds hang poised,
those wonders of him who is perfect in knowledge?
17.You who swelter in your clothes when the land lies hushed under the south wind,
18.can you join him in spreading out the skies hard as a mirror of cast bronze?
19.Tell us what we should say to him;
we cannot draw up our case because of our darkness.
20.Should he be told that I want to speak?
Would any man aske to be swallowed up?
21.Now no one can look at the sun,
bring as it is in the skies
after the wind has swept them clean.
22.Out of the north he comes in golden splendor;
God comes in awesome majesty.
23.The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;
in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.
24.Therefore, men revere him,
for does not not have regard for all the wise in heart?"
1."그 소리를 들으면, 내 심장도 두근거립니다.
2.그분 입에서 나오는 천둥 소리를 잘 들어 보세요.
3.온 천지에 번개를 보내어, 땅 끝가지 환하게 하시고,
4.그후에 천둥 소리는 우르릉거리고, 그분의 위엄 있는 목소리가
우렁차게 울러 퍼집니다.
그분의 음성은 사그러들지 않습니다.
5.하나님의 천둥 소리는 정말 놀랍습니다.
사람이 이해 못할 엄청난 일들을 하십니다.
6.하나님은 눈에게 '땅에 내려라' 하고 명령하시고
쏟아지는 폭우에게 '세차게 퍼부어라'하고 말씀하십니다.
7.이처럼 사람들을 꼼짝 못하게 하시는 것은, 하나님의 일에대해
그들이 알게 하기 위해서 입니다.
8.그 때에는 들짐승도 숨을 곳을 찾고,
자기 있는 곳에서 나오질 않습니다.
9.남쪽에서는 폭풍이 불어오고 북쪽에서는 차가운 바람이 몰아치며,
10.하나님께서 내뿜으시는 입 기운에 얼음이 생기고,
넓은 호숫물조차 꽁꽁 얼어붙습니다.
11.그분은 구름에 습기를 가득 채우시고,
구름 사이로 번갯불을 번쩍거리시지요.
12.그것들은 하나님의 명령대로 이리저리 움직이며,
온 세상에서 그분의 명령을 수행합니다.
13.그분은 사람을 벌하실 때나 땅에 비를 내리실때,
징계하실 때나 사람들에게 사랑을 보이실때,
구름을 사용하십니다.
14.욥 어르신,
가만히 하나님의 기이한 일들을
한번 생각해 보십시오.
15.당신은 하나님께서 어떻게 구름을 만드시고,
어떻게 번개를 번쩍이게 하시는지 아십니까?
16.구름이 균형을 잃지 않고 떠다니는 것과,
지혜가 온전하신 분이 행하시는 이적을
이해할 수 있나요?
17.남풍이 불어 땅이 조용할 때, 따뜻해지는 까닭을 아십니까?
18.당신은 하나님께서 청동 구리를 부어 만든 유리처럼
단단한 하늘을 펼 수 있습니까?
19.우리가 그분에게 할 말을 가르쳐 주십시오.
우리는 어둠에 싸여 있어 그분에게 무슨 말을 해아 할지 모르겠군요.
20.내가 하고 싶은 말을 하나님께 다 할 수는 없습니다.
내가 왜 하나님께 나를 삼키실 기회를 드리겠습니까?
21.바람이 하늘을 깨끗이 휩쓸고 간 후, 그 빛 때문에
태양을 똑바로 쳐다볼 수 있는 사람은 없을 것입니다.
22.그분은 영광의 빛에 휩싸여 북쪽에서 오시고,
위엄 가운데 임하시지요.
23.우리는 전능자의 권능을 상상조차 할 수 없습니다.
그분의 권능은 끝이 없으시고, 공의와 의가 많으신 분인데
어떻게 그런 분이 사람을 괴롭힐 수 있겠습니까?
24.그러니 사람들이 그분을 경외하지 않을 수 없지요.
스스로 지혜롭다고 생각하는 자를 그분은 무시하십니다."
