¾ÇÀÎÀÌ ³» ¾Õ¿¡ ÀÖÀ»¶§¿¡ ³»°¡ ³» ÀÔ¿¡ ÀÚ°¥À» ¸ÔÀ̸®¶ó ÇÏ¿´µµ´Ù
I said, "I will watch my ways
and keep my tongue from sin;
I will put a muzzle on my mouth
as long as the wicked are in my presence."
2.³»°¡ ÀáÀáÇÏ¿© ¼±ÇÑ ¸»µµ ¹ßÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ´Ï
³ªÀÇ ±Ù½ÉÀÌ ´õ ½ÉÇϵµ´Ù
But when I was silent and still,
 not even saying anything good,
my anguish increased.

È­°¡ ¹ßÇÏ´Ï ³ªÀÇ Çô·Î ¸»Çϱ⸦
My heart grew hot within me,
and as I meditated, the fire burned;
then I spoke with my tongue:

"Show me, O Lord, my life's end
and the number of my days;
let me know how fleeting is my life.

³ªÀÇ ÀÏ»ýÀÌ ÁÖÀÇ ¾Õ¿¡´Â ¾ø´Â °Í °°»ç¿À´Ï
»ç¶÷¸¶´Ù ±× µçµçÈ÷ ¼± ¶§µµ
Áø½Ç·Î Çã»ç»ÓÀÌ´ÏÀÌ´Ù
You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Each man's life is but a breath.

Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro:
He bustles about, but only in vain;
he heaps up wealth,  not knowing who will get it.
7.ÁÖ¿© ³»°¡ ¹«¾ùÀ» ¹Ù¶ó¸®¿ä
³ªÀÇ ¼Ò¸ÁÀº ÁÖ²² ÀÖ³ªÀÌ´Ù
"But now, Lord, what do I look for?
My hope is in you.
8.³ª¸¦ ¸ðµç ÁË°ú¿¡¼­ °ÇÁö½Ã¸ç
¿ì¸ÅÇÑ ÀÚ¿¡°Ô ¿åÀ» º¸Áö ¾Ê°Ô ÇϼҼ­
Save me from all my transgressions;
do not make me the scorn of fools.
9.³»°¡ ÀáÀáÇÏ°í ÀÔÀ» ¿­Áö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿ÈÀº
ÁÖ²²¼­ À̸¦ ÇàÇϽŠ¿¬°í´ÏÀÌ´Ù
I was silent; I would not open my mouth,
for you are the one who has done this.
10.ÁÖÀÇ Â¡Ã¥À» ³ª¿¡°Ô¼­ ¿Å±â¼Ò¼­
ÁÖÀÇ ¼ÕÀÌ Ä¡½ÉÀ¸·Î ³»°¡ ¼è¸ÁÇÏ¿´³ªÀÌ´Ù
Remove your scourge from me;
I am overcome by the blow of your hand.
11.ÁÖ²²¼­ Á˾ÇÀ» °ßÃ¥Çϻ砠»ç¶÷À» ¡°èÇϽǶ§¿¡ ±× ¿µÈ­¸¦ Á» ¸ÔÀ½°°ÀÌ ¼Ò¸êÇÏ°Ô
ÇÏ½Ã´Ï ÂüÀ¸·Î °¢ »ç¶÷Àº Çã»ç»ÓÀÌ´ÏÀÌ´Ù
You rebuke and discipline men for their sin;
you consume their wealth like a moth-
each man is but a breath.

´ëÀú ³ª´Â ÁÖ²² °´ÀÌ µÇ°í °Å·ùÀÚ°¡ µÊÀÌ ³ªÀÇ ¸ðµç ¿­Á¶ °°À¸´ÏÀÌ´Ù
"Hear my prayer , O Lord,
listen to my cry for help;
be not deaf to my weeping.
For I dwell with you as an alien,
a stranger, as all my fathers were.
13.ÁÖ´Â ³ª¸¦ ¿ë¼­ÇÏ»ç ³»°¡ ¶°³ª ¾ø¾îÁö±â Àü¿¡ ³ªÀÇ °Ç°­À» ȸº¹½ÃÅ°¼Ò¼­.
Look away from me, that I may rejoice again
before I depart and am no more."
