2.사람들이 우리를 치러 일어날 때에 여호와께서 우리 편에 계시지 아니하셨더면
3.그때에 저희의 노가 우리를 대하여 맹렬하여 우리를 산 채로 삼켰을 것이며
4.그때에 물이 우리를 엄몰하며 시내가 우리 영혼을 잠갔을 것이며
5.그때에 넘치는 물이 우리 영혼을 잠갔을 것이라 할 것이로다
6.우리를 저희 이에 주ㄱ어 씹히지 않게 하신 여호와를 찬송할찌로다
7.우리 혼이 새가 사냥꾼의 올무에서 벗어남같이 되었나니 올무가 끊어지므로 우리가 벗어났도다
8.우리의 도움은 천지를 지으신 여호와의 이름에 있도다
1.If the Lord had not been on our side- let Israel say-
2.If the Lord had not been on our side when men attacked us.
3.When their anger flared against us they would have swallowed us alive;
4.the flood would have engulfed us,
the torrent would have swept over us,
5.the raging waters would have swept us away.
6.Praise be to the Lord,
who had not let us be torn by their teeth.
7.We have escaped like a bird
out of the fowler's snare;
the snare has been broken,
and we have escaped.
8.Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
