and to argue my case with God.
4.You, however, smear me with lies;
you are worthless physicians, all of you!

For you, that would be wisdom.
6.Hear now my argument;
listen to the plea of my lips.
7.Will you speak wickedly on God's behalf?
Will you speak deceitfully for him?
8.Will you show him oartiality?
Will you argue the case for God?
9.Would it turn out well if he examined you?
Could you deceive him as you might deceive men?
10.He would surely rebuke you
if you secretly showed partiality.
11.Would not his splendor terrify you?
Would not the dread of himm fall on you?
12.Your maxims are proverbs of ashes;
your defense are defenses of clay.
13."Keep silent and let me speak;
then let come to me what may.
14.Why do I put myself in jeopardy
and take my life in my hands?
13.Though he slay me, yet I hope in him;
I will surely defend my ways to his face.
16.Indeed, this will turn out for my deliverance,
for no godless man would dare come before him!
17.Listen carefully to my words;
Let your ears take in what I say.
18.Now that I have prepared my case,
I know I will be vindicated.
19.Can anyone bring charges against me?
If so, I will be silent and die.
20."Only grant me these two things, O God,
and then I will not hide from you:
21.Withdraw your hand far from me,
and stop frightening me with your terrors.
22.Then summon me and I will answer,
or let me speak, and you reply.
23.How many wrongs and sins have I committed?
Show me any offense and my sin.
24.Why do you hide your face
and consider me your enemy?
25.Will you torment a windblown leaf?
Will you chase after dry chaff?
26.For you write down bitter things against me
and make me inherit the sins of my youth.
27.You fasten my feet in shackles;
you keep close watch on all my paths
by putting marks on the soles of my feet.
28."So man wastes away like something rotten,
like a garment eaten my moths.

내 간청을 이해해 주게나.
7.자네들은 하나님을 위한다면서
그런 허튼 소리와 거짖말을 하는가?
8.그분께 아첨을 하자는 것인가?
하나님을 위하여
변호를 한다는 것인가?
9.그분이
자네들 속마음을 다 아시겠지.
자네들은 사람을 속이듯
그분을 속일 수 있다고 믿나?
10.자네들이 계속 불공평하게 행하면,
분명히 그분이
자네들을 꾸짖으실 걸세.
11.그분이 그의 위엄으로
자네들을 놀라게 하시고,
공포에 떨게 하실 거야.
12.자네들의 교훈은
어떤 쓰레기 더미에서 가져왔나?
자네들 주장은
어디 흙더미에서 가져왔나?
13.제발 입 다물고
내 말 좀 들어 보게나.
무슨 일이 일어나더라도
내가 당할 것 아닌가?
14.내가 내 자신을
위험에 밀어 넣게 되어도
내 생명을 스스로 지킬 것이네.
15.비록 그분이 날 죽이실지라도,
나는 그분을 믿고
내 주장을 굽히지 않을 걸세.
16.오직 그것만이
내가 사는 길이라 믿네.
악인은 그분 앞에
감히 나아갈 수도 없기 때문이지.
17.내 말 좀 들어주게나.
제발 내 말에
귀를 기울여 주게나.

마침내
옳다고 인장받을 거라 확신하네.

민액 그럴 자가 있다면

제발 두 가지 소원을 들어주십시오.
그러면 주를 피하지 않겠습니다.
21.제게서 당신의 손을 치워 주시고
공포에 사로잡혀
떨지 않게 해 주십시오.

대답하겠습니다.
아니면
제가 묻는 말씀에 대답해 주십시오.
23.저의 허물과 죄가
얼마나 많습니까?
제가 반역한 일과 죄를 보여 주십시오.
24.왜 당신은
저를 피하시고 원수 취급하십니까?
