1.Then replied:
2."Even today my complaint is bitter;
his hand is heavy in spite of my groaning.
3.If only I knew where to find him;
if only I cound go to his dwelling!
4.I would state my case before him
and I fill my mouth with arguments.
5.I would find out what he would answer me,
and consider what he would say.
6.Would he oppose me with great power?
No, he would not press charges against me.
7.There an upright man could present his case before him,
and I would be delivered forever from my judge.
8."But if I go to the east, he is not there;
if I go to the west, I do not find him.
9.When he is at work in the north, I do not see him;
where he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him.
10.But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
11.My feet have closely followed his stepts;
I have kept to his way without turning aside.
12.I have not departed from the commands of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.
13."But he stands alone, and who can oppose him?
He does whatever he pleases.
14.He carries out his decree against me,
and many such plans he still has in store.
15.That is why I am terrified before him;
when I think of all this, I fear him.
16.God has made my heart faint;
the Almighty has terrified me.
17.Yet I am not slienced by the darkness,
by the thick darkness that covers my face.
1.그러자 욥이 대답했습니다.
2."오늘도 내 원망이 심한 것은 신음 소리가 나는데도
그분의 손이 나를 누르시기 때문이네.
3.어디에 가면 그분을 만날까?
그분이 계신곳
가까이 갈수만 있다면!
4.그분 앞에
내 주장을 당당히 펼치고, 나의 무죄를 호소할 텐데.
5.그분의 대답을 듣고 그가 나에게 말씀하신 바를
깨달을 수 있을텐데.
6.그분의 위엄으로 나를 물리치실까?
아니야,
그분은 내 주장을 들어 주실 거야!
7.거기서는 의인이라면
그분과 변론할 수 있으니
나는 영원히 심판에서 구원 받을 것이네.
8.내가 동쪽으로 가도
그분은 아니 계시고,
서쪽을 돌아보아도 찾을 수 없구나.
9.그가 북쪽에서 일하실 텐데도,
뵐 수가 없고
그가 남쪽으로 돌이키시나,
그를 뵐 수 없구나.
10.그러나 그분은 내가 가는 길을 아시지.
그분이 나를 시험하신 후에는 내가 정금같이 되겠지.
11.내 발이 그분의 길에 붙어서,
그 길을 따라가며 떠나지 않았지.
12.내가 그분의 명령을 떠나지 않았고,
그분의 말씀을 내가 매일 먹는 음식보다 귀하게 여겼어.
13.그렇지만 그분은 절대 주권자이시니
누가 그를 돌이킬수 있을까?
그분은 자기 원하시는 일을 모두 하시질 않나?
14.그분은 날 위해
계획하신 것을 행하시며,
아직도 많은 계획들을 갖고 계실 거야.
15.그러니 내가 그분 앞에서 놀라고,
생각만으로도 그분을 두려워하는 것은 당연하지.
16.하나님께서 나를 낙심하게 하시고,
전능자께서 나를 좌절하게 만드시니
17.앞을 내다볼 수 없는 어둠이 나를 감싸고 있구나."
