6.I gave him the wasteland as his home,
the salt flats as his habitat.
7.He laughs at the commotion in the town;
he does not hear a driver's shout.
8.He ranges the hills for his pasture and searches for any green thing.
9."Will the wild ox consent t serve you?
Will he stay by your manger at night?
10.Can yu hold him to the furrow with a harness?
Will he till the valleys behind you?
11.Will you rly on him for his great strength?
Will you leave your heavy work to him?
12.Can you trust him to bring in your grain and gather it to your threshing floor?
13."The wings of the ostrich flap joyfully,
but they cannot compare with the pinions and feathers of the stork.
14.She lays her eggs on the ground and lets them warm in the sand,
15.unmindful that a foot may crush them,
that some wild animal may trample them.
16.She treats her young harshly, as if they were not hers;
she cares not that her labor was in vain,
17.for God did not endow her with wisdom or give her a share of good sense.

24.In frenzied excitement he eats uo the ground;
he cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds.
25.At the blast of the trumpet he snorts, 'Aha!'
He catches the scent of battle from afar,
the shout of commanders and the battle cry,
26."Does the hawk take flight by your wisdom and spread his wings toward the south?
27.Does the eagle soar at your command and build his nest on high?
28.He dwells on a cliff and stays there at night;
a rocky crag is his stronghold.
29.From there he seeks out his food;
his eyes detect it from afar.
30.His young ones feast on blood,
and where the slain are, there is he."

3. 그것들이 웅크리고 새끼를 낳게 되면, 해산하는 고통에서 벗어나는 것을 아느냐?
4.그 새끼들이 들판에서 자라서 강하게 되면, 어미를 더나 다시는 돌아오지 않는다.
5.누가 들나귀를 풀어 주었던가?
누가 재바른 들나귀의 끈을 놓아 주었던가?
6.내가 그들에게 광야를 집으로 주고, 소금기 있는 땅을
그들의 살곳으로 정해 주었다.
7.들나귀는 도시의 소음을 싫어하고, 소리치며 모든 사람을 알지 못하며
8.푸른 초장을 찾아 온 산을 헤매며, 푸른 풀을 찾아 다닌다.
9.들소가 네게 온유하게 굴며 네 우리에서 하룻밤을 잘것 같으냐?
10.너는 들소에게 굴레를 씌워 쟁기질을 시킬수 잇느냐?
들소가 네 뒤를 따라 밭을 갈겠느냐?
11.그것이 힘이 세다고 읻고 일을 시킬 수 있느냐?
12.네 곡식을 날라 오고 모아서 타작 마당에 옮기리라고 믿느냐?
13.타조가 화려하게 날개짓을 한다 해도 황새의 날개만 하겟느냐?
14.타조는 땅에 알을 낳고 모래로 그것을 따뜻하게 덮지만,
15.곧 잊어 버리고 발로 밝아 깨뜨리거나 야수들이 밞도록 그냥 내버려 둔다.
16.타조는 새끼를 마치 자기 새끼가 아닌 것처럼 거칠게 다루고
그 새끼들이 죽는다 하더라도 신경쓰지 않는다.
17.그것은 내가 타조에게 지혜를 주지 않고
총명도 베풀지 않았기 때문이다.
18.그렇지만 타조가 날개를 펼치고 달릴 때는 말과 기수보다 빠르다.
19.네가 말에게 힘을 주고 말의 목을 갈기로 옷입혔느냐?
20.네가 말에게 메뚜기같이 뛰도록 하였느냐?
그 당당한 콧소리는 두려움을 느끼게 한다.
21.말은 앞발로 힘차게 땅을 박차고 용사들을 향해 전진하면서,
22.두려움을 모르고 칼을 피할 생각도 하지 않는다.
23.화살통은 그 등에서 철커덕 거리고, 창과 다낭은 번쩍인다.
24.땅을 종횡무진으로 날뛰고, 나팔이 울려 퍼져도
멈출 줄 모른다.
25.나팔 소리 가운데서도 힝힝 콧소리를 치며,
멀리서도 전쟁냄세를 맡고 장군들의 고함 소리와 아우성 치는 소리를 듣는다.
26.매가 두 날개를 남쪽으로 펴고,
날 것을 네가 명령 하였느냐?
27.독수리가 높이 치솟아 자기 둥지를 만드는 것도 네 명령에 따른 것이냐?
28.매는 아찔한 낭떠러지에 살며, 사람이 접근 할 수 없이
까마득한 바위 틈에 산다.
29.독수리는 그 곳에서 먹이를 찾아 멀리까지 내다본다.
30.시체가 잇는 곳에 독수리가 있고,
그 새끼들도 그 곳에서 피를 빨아 먹는다."
