그 앞에서는 절망도 달아난다.
23.근육들은 서로 단단히 엉켜 있고,
견고하여 떼어 낼 수 없구나.
24.그 심장은 돌같이 단단하고, 멧돌 아랫짝처럼 강하구나.
25.그 놈이 한번 일어나면, 강한 자도 그 위세 앞에 겁을 먹고 뒷걸음진 친다
26.칼로 찔러도 소용이 없고, 창이나 표창, 단창도 아무 소용 없구나.
27.악어는 철을 지푸라기처럼 구리를 썪은 나무처럼 생각하니,
28.화살을 쏘아도 꿈쩍하지 않고, 물멧돌도 그것에게는 날리는 겨와 같다.
29.몽둥이를 지푸라기처럼 여기고, 표창을 날려도 코웃음만 칠 뿐이다.
30.그것의 밑바닥은 날카로운 질그릇 같아서
진흙에서 쟁기질한 것 같은 자국을 만든다.
31.깊은 물을 마치 끓은 가마솥같이 만들고,
바다를 기름 가마처럼 만든다.
32.지나가며 번쩍이는 물보라를 날리니,
희머리를 날리는 것처럼 보인다.
33.지구상에 그것과 같이 두려움을 모르는 것이 없다.
34.그것이 교만한 자들을 모두 낮추어 보니,
