1.여호와께 감사하며, 그분의 이름을 부르십시오. 그분의 행하신 일들을 모든 나라에게 알리십시오.
2.주께 노래하고, 그분께 찬양을 드리십시오. 그가 행하신 놀라운 일들을 전하십시오.
3.그분의 거룩한 이름은 영광스럽습니다.
여호와를 찾는 자들은 마음이 기쁠 것입니다.
4.여호와를 찾고 그분의 능력을 간절히 구하십시오. 그분 곁을 떠나지 마십시오.
5.그분의 행하신 놀라운 일들을 기억하고, 그분의 기적과 그분이 선언한 심판들을 생각하십시오.
6.그 종 아브라함의 후손들이여, 곧 택하신 백성, 야곱의 자손이여,
7.그분은 여호와 우리 하나님이십니다. 그분은 정의롭게 온 세상을 다스리십니다.
8.그분은 자기의 언약을 영원히 기억하십니다. 그가 하신 말씀을 대대로 지키실 것입니다.
9.그분은 아브라함과 언약을 맺으셨습니다. 그분은 이삭에게 맹세하셨습니다.
10.그분은 그 언약을 야곱의 백성에게 법으로 주셨습니다.
이스라엘에게 영원한 언약으로 주신 것입니다.
11."내가 가나안 땅을 너희에게 주어, 그 땅을 너희의 소유가 되게 할 것이다."
12.처음에 그들의 숫자는 너무도 적었습니다. 그들은 그 땅에서 나그네들이었습니다.
13.그들은 이 나라 저 나라로, 이 민족 저 민족에게로 떠돌아다녔습니다.
14.그러나 주는 누구도 그들을 억누르지 못하게 하셨고, 그들을 위해 다른 나라 왕들을 꾸짖으셨습니다.
15."내가 기름부은 자들을 건드리지 마라. 나의 예언자들을 해치지 마라."
16.주께서 그 땅에 기근을 내리시고 모든 식량 공급을 막으셨습니다.
17.그리고 먼저 한 사람을 보내셨는데 그가 종으로 팔렸던 요셉이었습니다.
18.사람들이 그 발에 족쇄를 채우고, 목에는 쇠사슬을 매었습니다.
19.그러나 마침내 그가 예언한 것이 이루어지게 되었습니다. 여호와의 말씀이 요셉의 진실을 보여 준 것입니다.
20.왕이 사람을 보내어 그를 풀어 주었습니다. 민족의 통치자가 그를 풀어 준 것입니다.
21.그리고 그가 요셉에게 그 나라 일을 맡겼습니다. 요셉은 왕의 모든 소유를 맡아 관리하게 된 것입니다.
22.왕자들을 마음데로 가르치고 장로들에게 지혜를 가르치게 되었습니다.
23.그때, 이스라엘이 이집트로 들어가게 되었습니다. 야곱은 함의 땅에서 외국인처럼 살게 된 것입니다.
24.여호와께서 자기 백성을 크게 번성하게 하셨습니다. 그들의 적보다 더 많고 강하게 하신 것입니다.
25.주께서 이집트 사람들이 그 백성을 미워하도록 만드셨습니다. 주의 종들을 괴롭히게 하셨습니다.
26.그때, 주는 그의 종 모세와 그가 택한 아론을 보내셨습니다.
27.그들은 이집트 사람들에게 주의 표적들을 나타내셨습니다. 함의 나라에서 기적들을 나타낸 것입니다.
28.여호와는 흑암을 보내어 그 땅을 어둡게 하셨습니다. 그러나 이집트 사람들은 그분의 말씀을 거역하였습니다.
29.주는 그 땅의 모든 물을 피로 변하게 하셨습니다. 그러자 고기 떼들이 다 죽었습니다.
30.또 개구리들을 보내어 온 땅을 덮치게 하자 그 개구리들이 왕의 침실까지 기어올라갔습니다.
31.여호와께서 말씀하시자, 엄청난 파리 떼들이 덮쳤습니다. 그리고 온 나라 안에 이가 생겼습니다.
32.주께서 비를 우박으로 바꾸시고 온 나라에 벼락을 보내어
33.포도나무와 무화과나무를 치시고 온 나라의 나무들을 모두 꺾으셨습니다.
34.여호와께서 말씀하시자, 셀 수 없이 많은 메뚜기 떼가 몰려와서
35.그 땅의 모든 풀들을 갉아먹고 땅에서 나는 온갖 곡식들을 다 먹어 치웠습니다.
36.여호와께서 그 땅의 모든 맏아들, 곧 각집안의 가장 큰아들을 죽이셨습니다.
37.주는 자기 백성으로 은과 금을 가지고 그 땅을 나오게 하셨습니다.
그들 중 어느 한 사람도 낙오되는 자가 없었습니다.
38.그들이 떠나자, 이집트 사람들이 기뻐했습니다. 왜냐하면 이집트 사람들이 이스라엘을 너무도 두려워했기 때문입니다.
39.여호와는 낮에 구름을 펼쳐 그들을 덮어 주시고 밤에는 불로 비추어 주셨습니다.
40.그들이 먹을 것을 요구하자, 메추라기를 보내 주시고 하늘에서 양식을 내리시어 그들을 배불리 먹이셨습니다.
41.바위를 열어 샘물이 솟게 하셨으니 마치 사막 가운데 흐르는 강물 같았습니다.
42.주는 자기의 종 아브라함에게 주셨던 주의 거룩한 약속을 기억하셨기 때문이었습니다.
43.주는 자기 백성이 즐거운 마음으로 나오게 하시고, 자기의 택한 자들이 기뻐 외치며 나오게 하셨습니다.
44.그리고 다른 민족들의 땅들을 빼앗아 그들에게 주셨으며, 다른 백성들이 땀 흘려 수고한 것들을 그들에게 물려주셨습니다.
45.이렇게 하신 것은 그들에게 주의 법을 따르게 하고, 주의 명령에 순종하게 하기 위함이었습니다. 여호와를 찬양하십시오.
1.Give thanks to the Lord, proclaim his greatness:
tell the nations what he has done.
2.Sing praise to the Lord;
tell the wonderful things he has done.
3.Be glad that we belong to him;
let all who worship him rejoice.
4.Go to the Lord for help;
and worship him continually.
5~6.You descendants of Abraham, his servant;
you descendants of Jacob, the man of he chose:
remember the miracles that God performed
and the judgments that he gave.
7.The Lord is our God;
his commands are for all the world.
8.He will keep his covenant forever,
his promises for a thousand generations.
9.He will keep the agreement he made with Abraham.
10.The Lord made a covenant with Jacob,
one that will last forever.
11."I will give you the land of Canaan," he said.
"It will be your won possession."
12.God's people were few in number,
strangers in the land of Canaan.
13.They wandered from country to country,
from one kingdom to another.
14.But God let no one oppress them;
to protect them, he warned the kings:
15."Don't harm my chosen servants;
do not touch my prophets."
16.The Lord sent famine to their country
and took away all their food.
17.But he sent a man ahead of them,
Joseph, who had been sold as a slave.
18.His feet were kept on chains, and an iron collar was around his neck,
19.until what he had predicted came true.
The word of the Lord proved him right.
20.Then the king of Egypt had him released;
the ruler of nations set him free.
21.He put him in charge of his gevernment
and made him ruler over all the land,
22.with power over the king's officials
and authority to instruct his advisers.
23.Then Jacob went to Egypt and settled in that country.
24.The Lord gave many children to his people and made them stronger than their enemies.
25.He made the Egyptians hate his people
and treat his servants with deceit.
26.Then he sent his servant Moses,
and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27.They did God's mighty acts and performed miracles in Egypt.
28.God sent darkness on the country,
but the Egyptians did not obey his command.
29.He turned their rivers into blood and killed all their fish.
30.Their country was overrun with frogs;
even the palace was filled with them.
31.God commanded, and flies and gnats
swarmed throughout the whole county.
32.He sent hail adn lightning on their land intead of rain;
33.he destroyed their grapevines and fig trees and broke down all the trees.
34.He commanded, and the locusts came,
countless millions of them;
35.they ate all the plants in the land;
they ate all the crops.
36.He killed the first-born sons of all the families of Egypt.
37.Then he led the Israelites out;
they carried silver and gold, and all of them were healthy and strong.
38.The Egyptians were afraid of them and were glad when they left.
39.God put a cloud over his people and a fire at night to give them light.
40.They asked, and he sent quails;
he gave them food from heaven to satisfy them.
41.He opened a rock, and water gushed out,
flowing through the desert like a river.
42.He remembered his sacred promise to Abraham his servant.
43.So he led his chosen people out,
and they sang and shouted for joy.
44.He gave them the lands of other peoples and let them take over their fields.
45.so that his people would obey his laws
and keep all his commands.
Praise the Lord!
